Company Code of conduct
What we will and won't do
This goes into every client contract. Ask any Reddit vendor to sign the same.
We never
- Buy, rent, farm or share accounts.
- Buy, trade or coordinate votes, including on our own posts.
- Post as fake customers or hide who we work for.
- Create "independent" communities that are secretly run by a brand to rank it first.
- Pay for positive sentiment, or make incentives depend on a positive review.
- Counter-astroturf, even when a competitor does it to you.
- Break a community's rules to get a brand mention in.
We always
- Work from real, named accounts: your brand, your founder, your team, or specialists openly affiliated with you.
- Disclose affiliation wherever a brand comes up.
- Read each community's rules and moderator guidance before posting.
- Get your approval on voice, claims and disclosure before launch.
- Link every post and comment in our weekly reports.
- Hand over every account and community if we stop working together.
In your contract
- No undisclosed seeding.
- Compliance with the FTC's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465).
- Audit rights: you can review every account and every piece of activity on your behalf.
- An NDA, signed before the first call if you want it.
If something goes wrong
If an account is removed or a post is flagged, we tell you that week, explain why and change the approach. If we find astroturfing about your brand, we document it and report it through Reddit's own process.
Let's work togetherReddit decides
Tell us about your brand. We'll show you where your buyers talk on Reddit and what it would take to win those threads.
