Who we are
Intent Shark runs this website, intentshark.com. We are the controller of the personal data described here. To reach us about privacy, use the form on the Get started page and write "Privacy request" in the message.
What we collect
What you give us
- Contact and consultation forms. Your name, work email, company, role, budget range and message.
- Free Reddit audit and subreddit finder. The website or description you enter. If you unlock the full report, your work email.
What we collect automatically
- Device and network data. A random device ID, a one-way hash of your IP address, your country and region. We use these to limit free audits and stop abuse.
- How you found us. Your landing page, the referring site and campaign tags. Saved only once cookies are allowed.
- Visitor identification. With your consent where the law needs it, a partner tool called RB2B identifies business visitors. See below.
- Your cookie choice. What you chose, when, and the region it was made from, so we can prove the choice was respected.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and deliver what you asked for.
- To run and protect the free tools.
- To understand which companies visit and which pages lead to enquiries.
- To contact business visitors about our services. You can opt out at any time.
In the UK and EU our legal bases are your consent (cookies and visitor identification), our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site, and steps taken at your request before a contract.
Visitor identification (RB2B)
When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these email addresses. You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting https://app.retention.com/optout.
You also have the option to opt out of the collection of your personal data in compliance with GDPR by visiting https://www.rb2b.com/rb2b-gdpr-opt-out.
How this works by region:
- United States. RB2B loads when you arrive, with a cookie notice and a one-click opt-out. It may identify you as a person, including your name, business email and employer.
- Everywhere else. RB2B does not load unless you click Accept. If you accept, it identifies the company you are visiting from, not you as a person.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends this signal, we treat it as an opt-out and RB2B does not load.
Cookies
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Who we share data with
We do not sell your data for money. We use these service providers:
- Cloudflare. Hosting, security, the database behind the free tools and the AI model that writes the audit.
- Zoho (Bigin CRM). Stores enquiries and unlocked audit leads.
- RB2B (Retention.com). Visitor identification, as described above.
- Reddit and search data providers. The free tools send them search terms built from the website or description you enter. They do not receive your email.
Some of these providers are in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EU, it moves under the provider's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and leads: for as long as we are in contact, then up to 24 months.
- Audit reports and tool searches: up to 12 months.
- Cookie choices: up to 24 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to show you, correct, delete or move your data, and to stop or limit how we use it. You can withdraw consent at any time. Where consent was the basis, that does not affect what happened before. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California
California residents can ask what we collect, ask us to delete it, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Visitor identification may count as sharing under California law. To opt out, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page and choose to opt out, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or use the RB2B links above. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not aimed at anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change affects cookies, we will ask for your choice again.
